ARBORIA -- In a landmark diplomatic development, the Grand Duchy of Eniarku and the Ipsissium of Verdisolia have ratified a treaty of mutual recognition. The treaty, signed on 27 June 2024, marks a step forward in the Templum of Foreign Affairs' mission to build positive, cooperative relationships with other nations, especially those located between the 80th and 90th parallel.
Eniarku is a nation with claims founded in 2009, with its cantons located within the state of Michigan in the United States. After a period of inactivity, the nation returned to the MicroWiki community--a community of micronations participating in the development of an online micronational encyclopedia--in May of 2024.
At the core of the treaty lies a mutual recognition of each other’s sovereignty and independence. Through the document signed by His Royal Highness Alexander and Ipsissimus Propser I, Eniarku and Verdisolia have affirmed their commitment to recognizing the territorial integrity and legitimacy of the other.
The treaty, proposed by Eniarku following an inquiry by Magister Nate Sterling regarding territorial claims, allows for amendments and annexures, provided they receive approval from both parties. Additionally, the treaty prohibits interference in each other’s affairs, and provides mechanisms by which disputes arising from the treaty will be settled.
